Mears Design Group designs parks with play equipment that spark children's imaginations and encourage social interaction. Seating nodes provide excellent opportunities to relax, supervise activities or take advantage of interpretive activities.
Organized sports such as softball, baseball, T-ball and especially soccer place huge demands on the need for community parks and large athletic complexes. Drainage, lighting, parking, access, restroom facility, shelters, trails and neighborhood compatibility issues provide opportunities to incorporate unique design approaches and innovative materials and construction systems to efficiently and expertly develop both active and passive recreational amenities.
As project Landscape Architect, Troy assisted in the development of the site master plan, which included (4) polo fields, (18) hole par-3 golf course, stables, clubhouse, irrigation system and pond layout. The project is currently in the second phase of development.
As project Landscape Architect Mears Design Group prepared multiple conceptual designs for presentation to the local community during three public workshop sessions and one final presentation meeting. The conceptual designs were required to meet a nature park design including play feature accessibility. Upon completion of the design conceptual phase, Mears Design Group developed construction documents and administered the nature park construction.
